While dreaming of ocean
He heard his alarm.
He jumped out of bed
And confusion began.
To start with - location.
No clue where he is,
He looked back at bed -
The sight made him freeze.
There was a young woman
Of looks you see rarely
Asleep, under blanket
That covered her barely.
He smiled for a second,
“She’s gorgeous and hot!”
He knew nothing of her
But liked her a lot.
Then joy from the view
Surrendered to worry
About last night
That was way beyond blurry.
What if it was bad?
They got drunk, made mistakes
A few shots and pints
This is all that it takes.
He thought of just leaving
Like a thief in the night,
But then changed his mind
Cause he knew - that ain’t right.
He looked for his clothes
Or at least underwear
For when she wakes up
To reduce shock and scare.
A half hour later
She opened her eyes:
There was no confusion
Nor shock nor surprise.
“Good morning!” he said
Trying hard not to stare
As she walked around
Looking for underwear.
“Good morning! Some coffee?
With milk or plain black?”
She then added smiling,
“You look thunderstruck!”
He tightened his lips
Thinking what to reply,
Then mumbled in voice
That was shaky and shy.
“It is rather awkward..
About last night..
It all seems too foggy
Did I treat you right?”
“Don’t worry, you silly!
It was more than fine!”
She smiled and winked,
“Second date for some wine?”
